i recognise raymond's clothes and cap from episode 14 of 'moonlight resonance' when he was supposed to be having a bbq party with his family in 'moonlight resonance'. i remembered from that scene, ha yu wasn't supposed to be there, he was in his house using his phone to see raymond and his family have the party because he had stomach ache, so he couldn't go. i was surprised to see in the actual filming, ha yu was actually with them, not at his home in the drama.

translation of what they are saying...

raymond: i really like sunbathing, err... because i really like water activities. so... i was really happy yesterday i could have a chance to swim, i could have a race with jo飽 (ha yu).

*camera goes to ha yu*

ha yu: he is actually from a swimming team, he was lying to me so i don't know, making me...

my thoughts: the 'cover' of the article says it all! tavia is on her way stepping up into her acting career in tvb now and is getting recognised by more and more people. on the first page, it stated when tavia was in school, she cheated in her tests! wow! i never knew about that... naughty girl tavia! this showed even if you don't do as well in school, you can still have a good 'road' on your career in the future. look at what stage tavia is at now, her career is rising! and lovely photoshoots of tavia, really nice!

random: back to school 2008

today was my first day back in school since my summer holidays ended on sunday (i didn't have to go back monday or yesterday because there was teacher training and something else going on), i am missing it already! i am officially in year 11! it is form 5 if you convert it into hong kong secondary schools. this year of school is really important for me because i am having my gcse exams at the end of the year, they are big exams which are really important which almost determines your future! gcse stands for 'general certificate of secondary school'.

my new form teacher is mrs. welsh, this year was the first time i have had a new form teacher because for the past 4 years, i have always had the same form teacher who was mrs. thomas, she was so nice to us! i miss her... this year she is going to be having the year 7s, so my form was sent to have another form teacher.

and this year's subject teachers that i have got is as follows:

english - miss walters
maths - mrs. roberts-mills
science - miss richards, miss handsley
welsh - mrs. hopkins
religious studies - mrs. thomas
art - mrs. roach
graphics - mr. pettit
geography - miss morgan

argh! why mrs. roberts-mills again this year?! she really makes me have headaches because she gives so much pressure to you in class as well as homework, i dared not to fail my exams in maths last year, otherwise she'll go mad! i hope i can cope with her this year... and another year of miss morgan for geography? boring...

i also received back some of my exam results that i sat before the summer holidays, here are the grades i received back:

chinese - B
religious studies - A*
science - C
maths - fail

and here are the my results i received back from my mock exams:

i failed in my maths module exam, i have been so upset about it because i spent hours revising for the exam and now i failed it. some of my friends didn't even revise and they passed? how can this happen to them? it is so unfair! i had 129 out of 179 marks, we can only get an A or a B in this test, if you had lower than that, you'll get a U, which is a fail. to get the B, you had to at least have 140 marks, argh! if we were allowed to get a C, i could have passed! i was only 11 marks away from a B! i am so annoyed! but i am so happy there is something called resit, i can resit the exam in january next year, i must do my best!

i hope i will do well in this year of school-ing and i will try my best on everything! please may God bless me.

i woke up and from my post, i received chanel sis' gift and tvb stars photos she bought for me while she was in hong kong. she also went to tavia and ron's joint birthday party, i am so jealous she can meet tavia... hehe! from listening to chanel, she said tavia was really nice and even asked her to continue study hard on her studies. chanel also sent me the birthday gathering photos of tavia when she was there, tavia looks so pretty! and of course, not to forget the lovely bracelet and the tvb stars photos she got for me. they are all of my favourites, they included fung (raymond), tavia, myolie and linda. thank you so much chanel sis! love you!

ok, well... i went grocery shopping today at 'asda', 'tesco' and 'lidl' with my parents today and i got a denim vest jacket from 'george' (it's a brand) at 'asda'. i think it'll be great for layering clothes and will match nicely with most of the clothes i have got now. look at tavia and linda wearing one too in the pictures below:

new album release: linda chung - one person dinner, two people world

linda's debut album was released on 20th this month, this is linda's first album, its feedback really does determine if she can continue on with her singing career or not. some singers, after their first album release, feedback wasn't good and their career is totally ruined. there have been a lot of hype for this album release straight after when online news were released saying some tvb artistes have a chance for their own album release, this also included myolie and linda. however, linda took over myolie a huge step. why is that? because myolie is still not at the stage of recording her debut album yet according to some tvb news released online a few days ago, myolie only replied she'll be recording soon. tvb surely is trying to promote linda as much as they can after tvb's 2007 hit drama which linda took part in: 'heart of greed', her well known character, 'sheung joi sum' left a deep impression to the audience which boosted up her popularity to a higher level which also helped her to gained new fans and to reduce her haters.

what do you think of the cover of the album? i prefer the special version with linda's hair down in light curls, she looks so pretty in there and her impression just gives off a feeling of being in love, i also love the white, showing linda's young and innocent side. i personally have high hopes for this album as well because i admit i also became a fan of linda's after watching 'heart of greed'. her voice does have a little bit of 'chicken', but it is unlike charmaine's because i think that linda brings out a bit of pureness to hers and i personally think it is very soothing to hear, you can just almost close your eyes to 'feel' her voice. i hope this album will be a great start for linda's singing career. good luck linda!

dreams: raymond lam

i finally managed to have a dream about raymond last night! i finally did! i have been waiting for that moment for so long... here goes the story...

i was at work experience for a week just before the summer holidays in hong kong. out of breath, i finally managed to find my destination which was a building of office which does advertising business. i popped inside the building with a sense of fear in my heart until i stopped infront of the reception desk. i told the lady sitting at the desk that i came for work experience, she asked me to sit and wait for a second while she goes off to find the manager. i couldn't do anything else other than to wait and see what happens. a lady around 5'4" height came out and she greeted me, i greeted her back of course... i don't have a clue who she was until she told me she is the manager of the advertising department. she then showed me around the different areas of the buildings, how the department works and told me any other information i needed for the week.

she told me she'll ask someone to look after me for the week, she then went off to get him... i was amazed! out came raymond (with his look from 'the drive of life') and i was just shocked when the manager told me he's going to look after me for the week. i told myself i must treasure this week. straight away, at the first sight i saw him, i recognised he was raymond and i had feelings for him... but i knew for him to have a liking towards me was a super slim chance, so i kept quiet and followed the instructions of the work he asked to do and i tried my best on the work to try to impress him. his face was so charming, it was like as if i was having illusions. during work experience, i became best friends with fala (with her look from 'moonlight resonance') because she was one of the OLs there... yes, fala was in my dream too, but raymond was the main theme of this dream. we always have lunch together, i remembered from the dream we had buffet lunch! yum... haha!

i travel to work experience and back home everyday on the train and as the week passed by... on the very last day when i was going to the train station to catch the train home, i realized i went up to the wrong platform, i was standing at platform 4 which the train goes to somewhere else. i then went back down the stairs and walked back to platform 3 which was the platform i was looking for, i quickly ran up to platform 3 because the train was arriving already and there i saw raymond again, i thought to myself... is it because God is giving me a chance to tell him my feelings for him, so i quickly ran up to raymond. he was near the front of the train and i saw him getting onto the train i am going to get on, at this moment, somehow i saw moses, tavia, charmaine and myolie too getting onto the same train as me. however, it was only for a few seconds and they disappeared except myolie (with her glasses look from 'the drive of life'), she walked towards raymond and they started talking and i also walked up to raymond to say hi. i wanted to tell him my feelings, but myolie was there... (this was the first time i have ever hated myolie in my dreams because she was getting into my way... lol) so at the end i couldn't confess to him and i never saw raymond again after the work experience. sad...

my thoughts: i think i am having a dream based on work experience because i actually did go on work experience around 6 weeks ago, just before the summer holidays started. i think raymond is in my dream because i have been so obsessed with him ever since 'moonlight resonance' started and i have been thinking about him to try to get myself to have a dream with him in it. as for fala, moses and tavia, i think it is because 'moonlight resonance' is currently airing and i have been watching it a lot and being obsessed with it also, i was so happy fala was my best friend in the dream because she is my favourite female character in 'moonlight resonace'. but why was charmaine and myolie also in my dream? i have no clue... i have had other dreams of tvb stars in the past, i remember i posted them up onto forums before, i'll try to find them and post them up on my blog. i love to read my past dreams, when you actually read them, it's like an illusioned diary.

fashion & style: kate in 'moonlight resonance'

hairstyle

kate have shoulder length straight hair with a small touch of light brown running down to each of her face from her middle parting. her hairstyle in the drama is extremely similar to linda's, but it's just linda's is longer and darker than kate's. like i already said in linda's 'fashion and style' post, i don't like middle partings and if the length of the hair is short and with a middle parting, i'll just absolutely hate it! if i had to choose between kate or linda's hairstyle in the drama, i'll definately have chosen linda's, no doubt. yeah... i admit i don't like middle partings, but linda's face structure is all equally balanced, she looks way more interesting to have a middle parting than kate's face because in my own opinion, i actually don't think kate looks that pretty and if she add that hairstyle of hers in the drama on herself, she'll just look really bad. i would have preferred the hairstyle of hers in 'speech of silence', that hairstyle bought her face out nicely and even made her look prettier. i think kate doesn't suit short hairstyles because she have got plumped lips, if she have a short hairstyle, it'll just make her lips even fuller, but the long hairstyle she had in 'speech of silence' 'balanced' her face.

casual wear

white blouse matched with a red buttoned up jacket paired with black trousers. are you going to work kate? this whole outfit just looks too formal, looks like kate is going to work, i don't like this whole overall look.

a graffiti dark blue vest top matched with light blue knee length shorts and a 'dog tag' pendant necklace. hmm... i don't like the colour combination here, looks too boyish and dull, kate should choose colours that are more 'happy' and bright such as pink, white and yellow for colour combination. if i was her, i will choose a pink vest top matched with white shorts instead. i like her necklace though, can be matched easily with almost any outfit.

i think kate is wearing a light blue tube top, it might be a dress, i don't know, but i will go for a top. she added a gold chain pendant necklace for accessories, but if i was kate, i will choose a long white chunky necklace instead to bring out her image more fresh and young.

a simple white v neck strap flowy dress with a bow between the v, accessorised with a long black and silver chunky chain necklace. this outfit looks very pure and simple, it shows out the feminine side of girls, i love the whiteness! if i was kate, i agree with her, i would have also chosen a long necklace, but i would have chosen a different style because i don't like the silver chain bits on the necklace she have now.

formal dress wear

a creamy-orange strapless tube formal dress with a ribbon around the waist and a matching bow on the front of the waist. there is ruffles creating a layered effect on the front of the dress above the ribbon. i like this dress' style, i think it's very creative and unique in its own way, very different to the usual formal dresses. however, one thing i don't like about it is the colour, i think dark purple will look better than creamy-orange.

traditional wear

kate in a traditional chinese wedding dress. kate looks quite good wearing the dress because she does have the mature look. girls who have the young look will not suit the dress in my own opinion, for example, fala.

kate in a wedding dress?! err... well, she'll actually look quite good in it if her hair was left down instead of being tied up to the back, the hair tiara will have an effect of turning kate into a 'princess' if she left her hair down. her glittery and shiny silver jewelry all looks very good on her.

In order to reestablish his career, chau plays tricks to gain the trust of a soccer team leader fan tai wai (benz hui). through the help of wai, chau becomes the operation director of the soccer team and he promises to help all team players achieve excellent results in the coming public examinations. chau teaches the team players in an unconventional way. he encourages them to hang around at pubs and chase girls actively but the result is disastrous. ching kwok chu (derek kwok), the soccer team’s sponsor, tries to hire the famous tutorial queen yim ka lai (sheren tang) to help in coaching the team. lai’s teaching style is totally different from chau and they fight with each other all the time.

the academic performance of the team varies a lot but chau discovers that wai’s son fan pui tung (law chung him) has plenty of potential so he pays special attention to him. during the time, chu’s younger brother suddenly takes away the ownership of the soccer team. chu tries to take revenge by asking lai to make the soccer team into a mess. chau is enraged and he discloses the secret relationship between chu and lai to everybody. all of a sudden, lai’s splendid tutorial career is coming to an end.

blogging about: 18th august 2008 (my 15th birthday!)

i woke up and i thought, it's my 15th birthday today! haha... the first thing i did was to turn on my computer and log into my msn account because i promised chanel (my internet friend i have known for 3 years already from tvbsquare) to say good-bye to her before she goes to hong kong for around 10 days for holiday, why does she have to leave on my birthday? i miss her! i was surprised to see joyce (another member i have known for quite a while now from tvbsquare) left me offline messages wishing me happy birthday, i haven't spoken to her for a long time and she still remembers my birthday, thanks joyce!

after that, i went out with my parents to go food shopping at 'home bargains', 'tesco' and 'lidl', my mum said i can choose a bouquet of flowers in 'tesco' because it's my birthday! so i chose a small bouquet of mixed white and pink flowers, girly yeah? haha... when i got home, i put them in a vase and left them on the dining table for decoration for dinner tonight so it looked like it was my birthday, making the living room look more festive. when we got home from shopping, it was around 4.30pm and i promise chanel at 5.00pm to say the last good-bye to her before she gets on her 6.20pm plane to hong kong, she texted back saying: "hi. yup at the airport. thanks. have a great bday too." oh i was so glad she got my text and texted me back, she even wished me a happy birthday, although she said it many times already, haha...

i had my 'birthday dinner' around 6.15pm. my favourite was beijing sliced duck (i think that's what you call it), do you know what they are? well, it's like you get this thin piece of circle shaped pastry thing with no taste in it, then add on hoisin sauce to it, small slices of vegetables (i put in cucumber), small slices of duck and then roll it up like a kebab and eat! we also had spring onion and ginger crabs and some other vegetables stuff. mmm... i love crabs! my dad was drinking red wine, haha... but i was drinking a carton of vita brand chrysanthemum tea drink also known as 菊花茶 (kuk fa cha) in hong kong (you'll know if you're from hong kong, you can buy them in yellow cartons, they look really similar to the lemon tea carton drinks because they are both vita brands). well yes, that was my day! below are my birthday stuff...

my thoughts: i love this scene because it includes how the siblings care for each other in the drama, moses, raymond, tavia and fala all came out to search for vincent and comforted him. and also, how can i not mention the rap? i love moses introducing his 'band members', haha... he always create the funny atmosphere so the drama doesn't go so boring all the time with the family problems and conflicts. ray was so cute when he tried to do that flip thing on the floor and his 'yo!' was so cool, haha... go raymond!

fashion and style: linda in 'moonlight resonance'

linda have long black straight hair with a light touch of dark brownish-red flowing down her back with a middle parting. when she ties her hair up to the back in a half ponytail in the drama, we can see the two parts of fringe coming down from her middle parting, both flowing down to each side of her face. i really don't like her hairstyle here compared to 'heart of greed', this hairstyle looks too mature for linda herself as well as her actual age in the drama because it's not layered and it looks too simple and plain with nothing special about it. i think the middle parting doesn't suit her, the hair will just get into her face all the time, she looked way better with the side swept fringe and the wavy curls in 'heart of greed' giving her hair more volume and looking more interesting instead of her long boring un-layered straight hair in 'moonlight resonance'.

casual wear

a white long sleeve shirt underneath with a light grey trench coat on the outside matched with dark skinny jeans and black boots. umm... i don't like the clothes linda is wearing on her upper part of her body much, i only like her skinny jeans and black boots here because i think the long sleeve shirt is too formal and the trench coat is too unflattering. i will suggest linda to choose a shocking pink skinny long sleeve top instead of the shirt and a trench coat that have a belt around the waist to catch attention for her beautiful figure.
linda's sport wear! matching black sport jacket and joggers with lines of orange and white with a yellow v neck vest top inside. i like her sport wear here, the orange lines on the black jacket goes quite well with the yellow vest as they're both warm colours, however, i was thinking wouldn't the colour black be a bit too hot if you're doing gym or exercise? i think linda will finish the sporty look better if she tied her long hair back into a ponytail.
a light baby pink cropped neck long sleeve top with a light grey trench coat finished off with light grey skinny jeans. i like her whole outift here as it's much more feminine with the colour pink and i think the grey jeans suits baby pink really well. however, like i said before, the trench coat is quite unflattering and linda should wear a trench coat that have a belt around the waist to catch others attention showing her waist line out nicely.
a plain black skinny elbow length top layered with a dark purple elbow length top on top to create a layer effect. linda wore jeans with the outfit and a black handbag with a thick strap. i like linda's layering here, i am glad she chose the right colours, mainly dark colours and the black bag is the must item to finish the look off because the strap is so thick, it'll stand out and catch attention, if linda change the black bag to a gold one, it'll look really nice and glamourous too with the purple top because the colour is dark.
a light baby pink cropped neck long sleeve top and a creamy-white long flowy jacket paired with dark jeans. i was quite surprised to see the flowy jacket, i have never seen one before, i think it looks good on linda though because she is tall as the jacket itself is long. the colour combination she have here is very calm and girly with the baby pink and cream. her hairstyle here matches her overall look as well.
white long sleeve skinny top and an ultra dark blue jacket on the outside matched with dark-washed jeans. her colours are quite dark here, but it looks ok because her long sleeve top is light and she also chose a white bag to balance out with the dark colours.

formal wear

linda's job is a doctor in the drama, so the doctor's 'long white coat' is a must linda have to wear, but she can still choose what to wear inside that. from the picture, she wore a white long sleeve shirt and a light yellowy-green trousers. i am so against the trousers linda is wearing, looks quite bad because of its colour, linda should have chosen black trousers instead.

traditional wear

linda in a traditional chinese wedding dress. she changed her middle parting into a side parting here, now... don't she look way better with that side parting? she looks so much more natural without the middle parting. i think linda looks amazing in the dress, doesn't look too mature for her and the red flower hair tiara looks really pretty on her too.

my thoughts: let me think... when was the last time tavia was on a magazine cover? according to taviayeung.com, last time she was on a magazine cover was back in november last year on a cover of wedding magazine! where have tavia been? so busy that she can't even film photoshoots for magazines? but anyways, i am glad she's now back with some stunning photoshoots for us! these tvbeauty scans are awesome, i love the way they bring out tavia's bad-girl and sexy image instead of the always elegant look and her make-up matches the whole set of clothes here so well making her look even cooler. her clothes here are from all well known expensive brands, but she looks gorgeous in it, not everyone can carry it so well.

my thoughts: why is myolie on dogs magazine? of course she's the one to be on it, who else? with her currently 411 airing pet drama, she's got to be the one on the cover of dogs magazine! as you can recognise on the front cover, besides myolie, there's 小巴 (siu ba) if you've been catching up with 'when a dog loves a cat'. she's actually a female, but in the drama, she had to act as a male. i just love her so much, she's such a great pet actor and have be known for doing everything the director asked her to do, she's also been praised by gallen and myolie themselves. too bad cancan the main cat lead in the drama isn't included in the photoshoots, i wanted to see 小巴 (siu ba) and cancan together.

i didn't wake up until around 11.00am today as i didn't sleep until around 2.30am in the morning, haha! what was i doing? well, it's the summer holidays i am having now, why sleep so early, right? well, after i woke up, i had to wait for my dad to and then off we go to bridgend!

first destination was the 'rhiw centre', me and my mum walked in 'new look' to search for new school trousers and black school jacket while my dad went to the bank. i had to try the trousers twice as there wasn't my size left, probably because everyone is also busy buying school clothes for the new school year coming. but luckily at the end, i was able to find my size and it came with a free transparent star keyring which can be turned into a long necklace, i love it!

here they are, my new schoolwear and the free necklace.

then we met up with my dad to go to 'home bargains', there was so many people there and so crowded. the products there was so cheap though compared to supermarkets so i think that's why there's so much people there. i bought a lot of junk food too, hehe! my mum gave me 'the look', oops! they consisted of a packet of chocolate cookies, 2 mento mint bars, 1 toblerone chocolate bar and a packet of pom-bear ready salted crisps, mmm... don't they make your mouth water? but i guess i can't eat them so often, they'll make me turn into a big balloon, so i will only eat them once now and then. i don't want to be fat again, it took me so long to lose those few kgs last year!

after that, my mum wanted to see curtains at 'bridgend's fabrics' as they're going to close down soon, while we were walking there, we came across 'woolworths', i needed to buy a new pencilcase and i found just the one i wanted, a hello kitty one and in my favourite purple colour! but it was so expensive, £3.99! my mum then bought some chicken pies at 'ferrari's'. i got bored a bit after seeing the curtains, so i walked over to 'argos' and grab myself a new catalogue while my parents was browsing in the curtains shop. but, after all the browsing, as usual, my parents didn't buy the curtains.

we then went to 'tesco' to food shop! haha... well, that's it basically, i bought a pair of new dark washed straight leg jeans which came with 3 free metal bangles, a new blue pencil sharperner and a ruler for school. i then went home to watch moonlight resonance, haha, i can't miss a bit of raymond!

my thoughts: keiko looks so pretty! except she looks a bit odd on the cover scan, her smile doesn't seem as natural as it should be. however, i love the other pages. her wavy long curls suits her very much and her choice of clothes once again didn't disappoint me. i assume this is an article of her and her new drama, 'homeroom on the beachside' which i am currently anticipating for! i hope it will get subbed soon and released online.

hairstyle

tavia have black coloured above shoulder length straight hair bob in the drama, however from her official portrait in tvb.com's 'moonlight resonance' site, she curled it. tavia have a very small section of side fringe swept to her right, but we can barely see it as it is always swept to the side with her other parts of hair at the side. i think this hairstyle is the shortest tavia have ever had, even shorter than her hairstyle in 'the academy', but i like it, not everyone can pull off a bob hairstyle as it's so short. tavia have got a very interesting face structure and her high cheek bones which suits the bob hairstyle very well, she can pull off almost any hairstyle nicely, from short to long... no problem!

casual wear

a black top layered with a lightly transparent white top and a white jacket to go with light jeans. very nice, i love the black top and the lightly transparent white top layered together, tavia will look sexy enough if she just wore those without the white jacket. if she wore formal black trousers instead of jeans to go with the look, it'll be suitable for work and it'll look just as nice.
a skinny black long sleeve top layered on top with a long short sleeve light army green top with jeans. her accessories is a thick black long neckalce made of different sizes circles and a silver belt. i love her accessories, her necklace won't make her overall look look so plain and her belt can bring out her waist line making tavia look not so fat. however, i have never been an army green fan and i have never worn green. if i can change the colour of the long top, i will change it to either purple or white as both of these colours will go with jeans and the accessories.
stripey black and white top with a thick border of black around the collar and the sleeves, worn with a white long trench coat and grey-ish looking jeans tucked in black boots with dangling details at the sides. tavia also carried a brown shoulder bag and she's wearing mainly plain wintry colours. i think her look is ok, but i don't really like long trench coats, i think they look like raincoats. if tavia chose a shorter trench coat in black with a belt around her waist, then it will look better, the one tavia have got on just won't show tavia's figure nicely because it's not flattening and just looks like an oversized raincoat on tavia.
a strapy floral dress which brings out a summery feeling with the big bold red and pink floral prints near the bottom half of the dress. tavia wore a silver necklace with a dangling pendant in the middle. i just love the dress, so fresh and pure with the colour white and yet feminine with the floral prints, the necklace suits the dress nicely too.
a grey elbow length long top with bold black printed face layered with a plain black vest underneath worn with lightly washed flared jeans and trainers. no! i don't like what tavia is wearing at all, an oversized unflattening top and light flared jeans?! tavia can improve by adding a bold white belt around her waist over the grey top and change her jeans to skinny jeans. that will bring out her image better.
a black vest and a white vest top with a black printed snowflake layered on top, matched with light washed jeans. she also have cool sunglasses on her head and a short silver necklace on. i like her layering, but her white vest top is just too unflattening! it made tavia look so fat as if she have got a thick waist which she doesn't have really and it isn't christmas time yet, why choose a snowflake top?
skinny grey long sleeve long top layered with a grey short dinky sleeve top on top paired with jeans. i love tavia's clothes here, plain grey with jeans, maybe tavia should add in a chunky long black necklace to match her long top for accessories.
a plain dark blue long sleeve skinny top layered with a grey elbow length jacket and matched with light jeans. this whole combination looks quite nice, but i just feel a necklace is missing, i think a chest length silver necklace will look quite nice to finish off the look.
tavia have lots of layers here! firstly, a black top, then a wide collar white top and and then layered with a black buttoned vest accessorised with a silver pendant necklace. i love her black and white layering here, one on top of each other.
a dark blue wide collar top and a plain black top underneath, tavia have a lot of wide collar tops in the drama, it's great for layering to show what she wears underneath. i will suggest tavia to wear a short gold pendant necklace to finish the look, but her short silver necklace looks ok on her too.
another dark blue wide collar long top matched with grey jeans and a long bold gold chained necklace for accessories. i don't know if she has a belt around her waist, it doesn't show in the picture, but a thick black belt will look great with the top.
a grey-ish white elbow length top with a dark vest jacket matched with light jeans and a turquoise handbag. i love her combination of clothes here, a bit of tomboy with the dark vest jacket yet still keeping tavia's femininity. the turquoise handbag she's carrying is very hard to 'carry' in my own opinion because the colour turquoise is very hard to match clothes. if i was tavia, i will choose a brown handbag instead.
a plain black top inside and a silvery white formal jacket outside matched with dark washed jeans and black high heels. i think this combination is too mature for tavia, especially the high heels, boots will make tavia have a younger feel. the silvery white jacket is too formal, she should have chosen a more casual white jacket.

formal dress wear

a long white ruffles strapless dress with a white scarf around her shoulders matched with a gold rounded pendant necklace. i love her dress here with the scarf, one word... elegant! although her hair is short, but it still suits her dress really well.
a deep v light purple strap dress with a small bow around the right side of the waist and a gold rounded pendant necklace, i think her necklace doesn't suit her dress here, she should have chosen a more elegant and glittery silver necklace here to match her dress.

traditional wear

a shocking pink chinese traditional style jacket, tavia rolled the sleeves up showing the inner light pink. i think shocking pink suits tavia quite well and i predict she's wearing jeans with the jacket, nice!
traditional chinese wedding dress on tavia looks stunning, it doesn't look too mature on her, i think it suits tavia's face really well and the red flower in her hair just turns tavia into a chinese doll!

random: linda's tunic top in 'moonlight resonance'

i spotted linda's black and white stripey tunic top in episode 2 of 'moonlight resonance' which is extremely similar to mine! the only difference is her white stripes is slightly darker than mine. i was so surprised to see that she have got a tunic top similar to mine and she's also wearing black leggings and black boots to go with it. i also wore my tunic top with black leggings and black boots during february when i was in hong kong, haha! linda has my style! the scene is from episode 2 of 'moonlight resonance' when linda and raymond just got off the ferry while walking together, they suddenly spotted fala delivering pastry and linda asks raymond who she was as linda haven't seen fala since childhood so she doesn't recongise her.

hairstyle

fala have long black straight hair with an extremely small touch of dark brownish-red which she always tie back to a ponytail in the drama. we don't often see her leave her hair down, in fact, i dont think we will ever get to see her leave it down in the drama. she also have a side fringe swept to her right with a small part swept to her left. her hairstyle suits her character in the drama very much as an innocent sweet girl, simple and cute. the producers of 'moonlight resonance' want fala to look young and suitable for her character in the drama, because she always tie her hair back, the hairstyle have an effect of making fala to have the young look. however, i would have preferred to see fala leave her hair down naturally, not straightened nor curled when she's not working or staying in her house in the drama and tied back when she's working in the pastry shop.

casual wear

chinese style collar white blouse with cute bow layered with a plain grey jumper on top, matched with dark washed flared jeans and trainers. i don't like this outfit, i personally think it's too boyish with the grey jumper which looked like it's for school, and the flared jeans is too unflattening. the only thing i like is the cute bow on the blouse, but i don't like the chinese style collar. fala should choose a v neck blouse, a more flattening jumper and get rid of the flares of her jeans.
a plain cream jacket with embroidered details near the top of the jacket with a long white top underneath matched with dark washed jeans which somehow looks a bit like grey. i think the cream jacket actually looks quite nice, but i will suggest fala to get a short top instead of the long top underneath. i don't like long tops underneath jackets, they look quite odd together.
shocking pink vest layered with a white short sleeve hoody and matching joggers. i love this outfit, sporty and energetic yet feminine with the shocking pink vest. great outfit for going to the gym or just going out when feeling sporty! the white gives off a fresh feeling too.
a skinny white long sleeve top with some coloured printed details matched with a tan belt, dark washed flared jeans and white trainers. i love her belt, it stands out very much and finish the look as it catches attention. her flared jeans here actually looks alright because she wore it with a causal top to match them unlike when she wore them when she went to the court because she had a blouse on as it's more formal.
a white formal long sleeve shirt layered with a grey with blue stripes short dinky sleeve top. the grey top's collar is embroidered to make a layered effect. fala wore dark washed jeans and a black patterned tote bag to go with the look. i like her combination of clothes here, i love the grey top, it's really trendy when used to layer with long sleeve tops.
i don't have much to say for her clothes here, it's just a plain purple short sleeve jacket and a plain white top underneath. i just want to comment on her hairstyle, she tied her hair half up, not a full ponytail. i think it looks somehow odd on her though, if her hair was longer, lightly curled and grab some of her hair to the front, it might look better. she shouldn't push the part of hair down to the back, she should just naturally let it flow to the front.
stripey purply-grey top layered with a plain purple hoody on top with thick borders of black, grey and purple around the sleeves. fala once again wore jeans with this outfit, she sure love her jeans! i don't like this outfit, i think it's too simple, fala didn't think before she wore it, she just got a top, hoody and a pair of jeans from her wardrobe and chucked it on herself. if she wore a plain vest top instead of the stripey top, i think it will look better. she should also add a long silver necklace to accessorise.

formal wear

a plain black cardigan and a white blouse underneath matched with a black skirt and cute white dolly shoes. fala also wore a pink coat, but i don't think it's neccessary for her to wear it, it ruins her 'office lady' look because the coat looks too casual. i love her combination of black skirt and white dolly shoes, most women wear black skirts with high heels, but fala wore white dolly shoes giving her a young and innocent feel.

formal dress wear

this is fala's 'little black dress' from the drama, plain knee length black vest dress with embroidered silver details around the straps. it looks quite nice on fala, she should add some accessories to the dress to make it look not so plain, she could just simply add a silver belt to bring out her slim waist.

traditional wear

a yellow chinese traditonal style jacket, the bright yellow shows off fala's young and bouncy personalities. fala rolled her sleeves up showing the inner pink, hmm... yellow and pink, not too sure about that.
a 'peach' pink chinese traditonal style jacket, i love this pink, it's so 'warm' and looks really nice matched with dark colours such as the jeans fala is wearing and fala's black hair. fala once again rolled her sleeves up showing the inner white, i think it looks very nice.
this is the traditional chinese wedding dress, this is the first time i have seen fala in this. she looks quite pretty, but her hairstyle don't suit her and i think the dress itself is too mature for fala as she naturally have a young look.

fala in wedding dress! she looks so pretty, i love her hairstyle and her dress. the lace design on the wedding dress can bring out fala's femininty and the side 'open cut' design on the bottom half of the dress can grab attention and force others to focus on the dress.

i know tavia and fala isn't real sisters in 'moonlight resonance' as tavia was an adopted daughter of louise. however, they're really close in the drama since when they were young because they're the only girls in their family. tavia also learnt sign language specially for fala so they can communicate more easily in the drama, from this, we can see how they care for each other as sisters. the tvb photos from the official 'moonlight resonance' site shows a huge amount of photos of tavia and fala either standing or sitting next to each other, there's also some individual shots of them two together as well. i love their expressions in all the photos and their chemistry as 'sisters' in the drama, we can feel their 'sister' love. i wished i could have a sister as nice as tavia or fala.

i went all the way down to london yesterday with my dad to renew my swedish passport, but oh... what a surprise, the people working at the embassy said they can't actually renew it for me as there's this new law thing starting from february this year. i was so annoyed! i woke up at 3.15am in the morning to catch the 5.28am train at bridgend station, now they're telling me i went there for nothing?! grr!! however, i managed to catch the sunrise on the train! it was so beautiful and picturesque...

well anyways... after that disaster, all me and my dad can do was to walk around london for a bit because the return train we booked was at 6.45pm, however, it was only 9.35am when we came out of the embassy! first we walked along oxford street aimlessly until we got to a underground train station, we went in and my dad bought me a sandwich and i shared it with him. we then caught the underground train to hyde park and sat on a bench for an hour while my dad phoned my mum to tell her the bad news we had.

chinatown!

my dad then phoned my aunt (his elder sister who lives in london already) to ask her if she wanted to come out to 飲茶 (yum cha) at london chinatown, she agreed so we headed to leicester square and walked our way up to chinatown. she took ages coming down, me and my dad browsed around chinatown for a bit, i feel like i was in hong kong, haha! i miss hong kong... when we finally decided where to eat, we ordered our favourites, 點心! (dim sum) i was so hungry. after that my dad went to a chinese supermarket there at chinatown to get some chinese vegetables and a durian! i love durians, they so cute and... prickly, haha!

we then went to my aunt's house for a bit and we're back to paddington station to catch the train home. thank god the durian didn't smell that much while in the train beacuse my dad ask the woman in the chinese supermarket to wrap lots of layers of newspaper around it, ain't he clever? lol it was such a tiresome day.

chung siu hor (louise lee) and her husband gam tai jo (ha yu) have been working hard for many years to establish a famous reputation for their moonlight cake shop. however, hor discovers that jo committed adultery with her best friend yan hung (michelle yim) and she breaks up with him miserably. hor brings along her children gam wing ho (raymond lam), gam wing hing (fala chen), and her adopted daughter suen ho yuet (tavia yeung) and sets up another cake shop for a living.

hung moves in to live with jo and she starts playing tricks in the family. she tries pleasing her mother-in-law sheh kwan lai (lee heung kam) in every way while disuniting her stepsons and jo. outside the family, hung starts expanding their business rapidly. hor’s younger sister chung siu sa (susanna kwan) is displeased. sa decides to fight for the ownership of their cake shop’s brand name in court with hung. their relationship with hung further deteriorates.

apart from the cake shop business, hor also spends a lot of efforts on her children. her oldest son gam wing ga (moses chan) is not interested in managing the cake shop at all and he indulges himself on stock trading. he also develops an entangling relationship with his cousin lo ga mei (kate tsui) and yuet at the same time. on the other hand, hor’s younger son wing ho takes up the role of a father in the family and he works hard all of the time to earn a living. wing Ho loves his childhood friend chau (linda chung) whole-heartedly, but chau is in love with the doctor ling chi shun (bosco wong).

hor works hard unconditionally to strive for the well being of her family members. hung, on the other hand, is a very mean person who values her own benefits only. jo is caught between the two women all of the time and he feels helpless. one day, a disaster happens at the cake shop. here comes a time when human nature, family bonds, and love are brought to a trail…

fashion and style: myolie in 'when a dog loves a cat'

myolie have golden-brown above shoulder length wavy curls and a side swept fringe. i like her hairstyle very much in this drama, myolie have never dyed her whole hair before, only streaks in other dramas. i have always thought golden-brown hairstyles don't suit chinese people much, but japanese more, however, myolie proved me wrong because i think this is her best hairstyle so far from her other dramas.

casual wear

grey elbow length sleeve top along with dark washed skinny jeans. i assume she's wearing her black boots that she always wears in the drama although it don't show what footwear she's wearing in the picture. she also has a long silver necklace and the white shoulder bag that she always carries in the drama, i like her style, very simple and yet stylish.
black vest top and a white and grey striped top which is elbow length with thick grey borders around the sleeves and a thin black belt tied into a ribbon knot around the waist. myolie finished the look with skinny grey pants and trainers, looks like myolie love grey a lot! her skinny grey pants ruined her look, i would have preferred skinny jeans better to finish off her look. myolie often layer her clothes a lot in the drama and that's why i like her style so much.

formal wear

cute white blouse with bow layered with a cream vest top. she finished the look with black formal trousers and white high heels, the black trousers is a must have for work, i love her white blouse with the bow, it's so cute. if instead of the cream vest top, black will look just as nice too.
black dolly vest top with embroidered details on the straps, i'm not sure if myolie is wearing white pants or a white skirt, but it looks like a skirt from the picture. very feminine and suitable outfit for work.

formal dress wear

a deep v creamy-orange strap dress with black borders around the waist and the straps. i think myolie have worn a black tube top underneath the dress and she also added a black scarf and a long silver necklace underneath for accessories. very elegant! but i think she should properly wear her scarf, because the way she wraped it around her, it will fall off easily.
